Traditional Irish music brings a smile to Dick Murphy's face. The owner of Mrs. Murphy's Irish Gifts is sponsoring Danu - a traditional Irish band that's bringing it's high energy music to the Washington Pavilion Friday night.
Murphy says it will be just like walking into a local pub in Ireland.
"This is one of the best groups that can be assembled in Ireland, and coming to Sioux Falls to our little pub up the street at the Washington Pavilion," said Murphy.
The band will play traditional Irish jigs and contemporary Celtic tunes just in time for St. Patrick's Day.
"Anybody that's just a wee bit Irish is going to be celebrating as we lead up into this next week," said Murphy.
Danu's performance will be family friendly, and if you bring a green canned food time to the Pavilion, you can purchase tickets for half price. Now that's something to celebrate.
"When you're listening to music such as Irish music your toes always tap."
