Posted: Updated:

Artist and Nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow is set to headline JazzFest in Sioux Falls this year.

Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Society and Midcontinent Communications made the announcement at a press conference in Sioux Falls on Thursday. JazzFest takes place at Yankton Trails Park in Sioux Falls on July 18-20. Crow will perform at JazzFest on July 20.

"She's the whole package—a great songwriter, musician and performer—in rock, folk, pop and soul. We're looking forward to a fabulous night of live music," Tom Simmons, Senior Vice President of Public Policy for Midcontinent Communications said in a news release.

JazzFest is a free three day event held annually in Sioux Falls featuring concerts on several stages. It attracts an average of 90,000 people each year and it is considered one of the major events of the Sioux Falls summer.

Last year's JazzFest set record attendances with 125,000 coming out to hear music. Last year's headliner Joe Walsh alone drew a crowd of almost 60,000 people—which was a new JazzFest record. The previous JazzFest record was 105,000 people in 2005.
