Posted: Updated:

It is gearing up to be a busy weekend in Sioux Falls. There are a ton of events going on in and around town, and we want to make sure you know all about them.

The Sioux Empire Home Show is this weekend at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. The event starts Friday and Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and goes until 9:00p.m. It opens up again on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

You can find everything to help with your home improvement needs plus cooking demonstrations and experts on hand to give their professional advice.

Next door, the Sioux Falls Arena is also hosting a huge event this weekend. The Summit League men's and women's tournament will start on Saturday. More than 40,000 people from across the country are coming to Sioux Falls for this event.

SDSU and USD will both be playing on Saturday though not each other.

But do not worry about parking, the Arena General Manager says there will be plenty of room.

Free parking is available at McCart fields on Western Avenue and Elmwood Golf Course on Russell Street.

Shuttles will run to and from both locations Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Drop off and pick up points will be marked at both satellite parking locations, as well as the Arena & Convention Center.

Street parking is also available on Russell Street along the Arena. You can also park on Madison Street, plus 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Streets, south of the Arena.

And if music is more your thing, the Irish band Danu will be at the Washington Pavilion's Mary W. Sommervold hall Friday night at 8:00 p.m. The Celtic band will perform traditional Irish jigs, contemporary Celtic tunes and its own signature hits just in time for St. Patrick's Day. This performance is family friendly and if you bring in a green canned food item, you purchase the tickets at half price, $12.50.

Rodeo fans are also congregating in Sioux Falls this weekend. The Coors Bull RidingTtour is this weekend at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds Expo building. The competition is bringing 40 of the best bull riders from across the country to Sioux Falls for two nights of rodeo action. The show begins at 7:30p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $20 adults or $5 for kids. You can also get a $3 off coupon at Taco John's for Friday's nights show. You can by advanced tickets at Haegles Western Wear for only $17.
