Transportation officials say visibility on some Iowa roads will deteriorate as snow showers move through the state.
The state Department of Transportation says blowing snow from strong northwest winds could cause visibility to drop Tuesday to around one-half mile.
The National Weather Service says scattered snow showers will spread across most of Iowa, though there will be little accumulation. DOT say roads in western and northwest parts of the state are covered in snow and ice.
Officials warn drivers to keep adequate spacing between vehicles and to discontinue cruise control.
