Sioux Falls Police say an investigation that started in January helped them arrest three people for meth charges Tuesday afternoon.

At 1 pm Tuesday, the Sioux Falls Area Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 314 West Avenue. The Drug task force caught two people in the home and seized approximately 15 grams of meth. Police says they also found baggies and scales. Officer Sam Clemens, Sioux Falls Police Spokesman, says the combination of those items makes police think they are not only using but distributing meth.

Police say some of the meth was found on the suspects and it was found somewhere inside the home.

Theresa Lynn Peterson, 52, lives at the home. She is charged with distribution of a controlled substance, violation of a drug free school zone, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a place where drugs are used and possession of paraphernalia. The home is within 500 ft. of Axtell Middle School.

Laura Crookham, 51, and William Cooper, 35, of Sioux Falls are charged with possession of a controlled substance- meth, inhabiting a room where drugs are used and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police say more arrests could follow from this meth bust.
