The Lennox School District is battling a bug that's prompted a investigation by the state health department.
The illness has spread throughout the district during the past ten days.
Last Friday, a quarter of the high school students were out sick.
That prompted the superintendent to contact the state health department. Evelyn Metcalf's son goes to school at Lennox. "They're definitely asking a lot of questions, I know when I called in to tell them that Coen wasn't coming they asked for details, how he was feeling and acting and when it started, I think they're doing a really good asking and keeping track of that."
Parents in the Lennox School District have been notified about the issue.
The health department is also looking into what caused the illness.
