Billy Elliot traded in his boxing gloves for ballet slippers.
"The main message of the whole show is follow your dreams, express yourself. Don't be afraid to be you and who you want to be," said Ben Cook who plays Billy.
It's a message the 15-year-old, who has been touring as Billy for the last year, says resonated with everyone in the audience.
Cook and Janet Dickinson, who plays Mrs. Wilkinson in the hit show, taped an interview with Shawn & Nancy for a segment that aired Thursday morning.
Both cast members will be part of the show when it comes to the Washington Pavilion this weekend. There are two performances Saturday at 3:00pm and 8:00pm. There is one performance Sunday at 3:00pm. Tickets are still available.
