The CEO of the South Dakota Board of Regents is 1 of 3 finalists for the job of president of the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education.
CEO Jack Warner is 1 of the finalists to lead the Connecticut State College & Universities system, which consists of 4 universities, 12 2-year colleges and a public online college.
Warner says he was not looking to leave South Dakota, but has family in Rhode Island and is 1 of the reasons he agreed to be a finalist.
Warner has led the South Dakota higher education system since 2009. Before that, he was the commissioner of the Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education for seven years.
