Pedestrian hit by car in Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls police are investigating a car accident that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.

The accident happened just after 1:00 Sunday morning in the 600 block of South Minnesota Avenue. Police say a 50-year-old man was trying to walk across Minnesota Avenue, when he was struck by a car driving northbound.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was a 32-year-old Sioux Falls man. Police are not releasing the names of either man involved at this time.
