If NBA scouts and a second NCAA Tournament appearance weren't enough, South Dakota State's Nate Wolters is also receiving recognition for his outstanding play by ESPN.
Senior Guard Nate Wolters is averaging 22.7 points per game for the Jackrabbits. In the Summit League Championship he scored 27 points and grabbed six rebounds to help lead his team to its second NCAA Tournament bid.
Myron Medcalf, of ESPN, put Wolters in his list of 10 mid-majors stars who could bust brackets. In the article Medcalf calls Wolters one of the nation's most explosive offensive performers making Thursday's matchup against the Michigan Wolverines very interesting.
Wolters' play this season hasn't gone unnoticed, as scouts have watched him put out impressive stats throughout the year—including shooting 39 percent behind the 3-point line this season and a recorded Division I-high 53 points against IPFW on Feb. 7.
The SDSU Jackrabbits take on Michigan in Auburn Hills, MI Thursday at 6:15 pm.
