The Boys and Girls Club of the Sioux Empire is looking to create a few future chefs.
Today the organization accepted a $20,000 grant from the Wellmark Foundation.
Those funds will help the club cover the cost of food and supplies needed for a new future chef's program.
It's a chance for youth to learn the skills to prepare healthy and easy meals. Karen Fogas is with the Boys and Girls Club of the Sioux Empire. "It opens up a whole new avenue of programming for us and potential, we're about impact, we're about changing children's lives and this gives us the opportunity to do that."
The program caters to children 13 to 18-years-old.
