Drugs, guns and $5K seized from drug bust in Brandon
Sioux Falls Police gave news media a look at the drugs, guns and money seized from drug bust in Brandon Wednesday morning.
The Sioux Falls Area Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 2005 East Aspen Blvd in Brandon at 10am Wednesday. It was part of an ongoing investigation.
Police recovered less than three ounces of meth, a pistol, shotgun, marijuana, paraphernalia and more than $5,000 in cash during the sting.
Cory Lee and Jon Schomberg were present at the home when the warrant was served.
Lee was arrested and lodged at the Minnehaha County Jail for possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana—less than 2 oz., and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Schomberg was lodged for possession of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute, maintaining a residence where drugs are used/stored, possession of marijuana less than 2 oz., and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Captain Paul Niederinghaus, Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office, says while this part of the investigation is over, they are investigating who made or supplied the meth for Lee and Schomberg.
