Nobody talks about the men's Jackrabbits team quite like true SDSU fans.
"There was never a question where I'd go to college. I'm a jacks fan and always will be," fan Greg Daniel said.
There were plenty of them at watch parties across Sioux Falls. Though, the end result wasn't quite what everyone had hoped.
"I was proud of the guys to show up. It's sad, disappointing. But I'm proud of them making it this far, in this round. They put a lot heart, effort and soul and what more could you ask for in a team," SDSU fan Chuck Boese Jr said.
"When the lights turn on, everyone has a chance. There was a chance but you knew you had to play well to beat a team that was No. 1 at one point in the year," Sioux Empire Staters' Kyle Jameson said.
They say there's nothing like seeing their favorite team play on the nation screen, which is already revving up the anticipation for next season, and more watch parties like Thursday night's.
"A lot of the alumni from Brookings end up here. when there's a game on, no matter where you go, you'll find the blue and yellow shirts," Jameson said.
"I'll go home and go to bed, wake up, I'll still be a jackrabbit fan the next day," Daniel said.
Most of those we talked with said they're now switching their focus to the SDSU women's team that plays this Saturday in Boulder, Colorado.
