Chicago murder suspect waives extradition from South Dakota

Posted: Updated:

ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - A man accused of murdering a woman in Chicago has waived extradition from South Dakota and voluntarily agreed to be returned to that city to face prosecution.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office Daniel Neasom, 29, likely will be transported to Illinois next week.

Neasom is accused of pushing his girlfriend, Cynthia Barnes, out the window of his third-floor apartment in Chicago after an argument in July 2011. He was arrested in late January in Aberdeen. Court documents indicate he came there to live with a family member.
