Uncle Fester, Morticia, Wednesday, and Lurch are hitting the stage, sharing their spooky and spectacular lives.
"There are so many crazy jokes and things happening throughout (the show) that younger audiences can get and older audiences can get. So, I think families really appreciate it because moms and dads aren't bored and kids are having fun as well," said caster member Elizabeth Hake.
The Addams Family cast is on an 18 month tour. This weekend the smash-hit musical will play three shows at the Washington Pavilion.
"Once the curtain goes up, and the gates open, and the Addams family walks down, and the audience starts applauding," describes cast member Mark Poppleton. "They're icons. They're American icons."
With so many beautifully grotesque moments to choose from these two cast members had to ponder their favorite moments.
"I have to sit there with a straight face as all this stuff is happening and the audience is roaring with laughter," said Poppleton.
Added Hake, "The problem is resolved and everyone, including all the ancestors who work with the family throughout the show, does a big beautiful tango and there's lots of dancing."
