Employer of 41st Street & Minnesota Ave crash victim hosts fundraiser

Posted: Updated:

On April 6, 2013, Visionary Eye Clinic of Sioux Falls is hosting a fundraising event to raise money for Ameina Wolf, an employee of Visionary Eye Clinic and a victim of a crash at 41st Street and Minnesota Avenue that killed a man.

Troy Hohn, 32, died in the crash on February 14. A cause of the crash has been left undetermined.

Wolf suffered a spinal fracture and a broken left shoulder. Her family also suffered other minor injuries. Wolf, who is at home recovering, faces a year or more of recovery.

To help offset Wolf's medical costs, Visionary Eye Clinic will offer free eye exams on a first come first served basis in return for a suggested donation of $70. Please bring in any valid prescriptions. These exams, frames and lenses will not be eligible for any insurance deductions during this event. Europa International will conduct a trunk show of all of their eyewear brands including Cinzia, Scott Harris, Ellen Tracy, Michael Ryen and others.

Dakota Sciences has agreed to perform all lab services. All proceeds will go towards the Wolf Family Fund. Hy-Vee and Starbucks will provide refreshments with all proceeds benefiting the family. Thrivent Financial has agreed to match donations up to $2,000. Donations of diapers, food items, cash, etc. will all be accepted.

For more information, please contact Tom Wiertzema at (605) 940-6200.
