Storm damage means new windshields for some SF drivers

Posted: Updated:

It's not just homes bearing brunt of this storm. Many vehicles have been damaged, too. Falling branches and ice have broken hundreds of car windows this week.

Owner Jeromy Munce at Certified Auto Glass has his hands full, this week. Thanks to a lot of ice, more ice and then the snow.

"Not something we see, ice storms, definitely weren't expecting it," owner Jeromy Munce said.

Munce repairs car windshields and boy has he had some work to do, and it all started on Tuesday.

"Windows broken out totally, holes in windshields, things that needed to be done right away. Things have slowed down a little, people more worried about their trees, their heat and things like that," Munce said.

He says most of his customers are taking this storm, and its effects, with a grain of salt.

But, when it comes to business, he knows he's doing OK, with the ability to make things look just like new.

"We unfortunately fortune off of other people's misfortune. Whether it be a hail storm, ice storm, vandalism, we do profit off of that. Everyone's doing a good job on waiting, being patient and letting us help them," Munce said.
