Sioux Falls police investigate copper wiring theft

Sioux Falls Police are investigating a copper theft from a local business overnight.

It happened at General Equipment and Supplies in the 3900-block of North Jessica Avenue in Sioux Falls. Police say the thieves got away with $6,000 worth of copper wiring.

Police say the wiring is used for power lines and mining machinery. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police or Crime Stoppers at 605-367-7007.
