The South Dakota State baseball team is more than 1,700 miles away from Brookings, yet it almost felt as if they were home.
Mother Nature has been a major part of the Jackrabbit baseball season and it is only fitting the sky opened and poured buckets of rain on the team's 75 minute practice Thursday afternoon.
The squad took to University of Oregon's PK Park to for a short practice as the team prepares for their first ever NCAA Regional.
While the rain was a factor in the team's preparation practice, the rain is not expected to play a big roll when the Jackrabbits and Oregon Ducks meet in their NCAA DI Tournament matchup Friday night.
First pitch is scheduled for 8pm Central time.
