Glisar places sixth in high jump, Coyote women finish 18th

EUGENE, Ore. – South Dakota's Megan Glisar became the Coyotes' third First-Team All-American this season after finishing sixth in the high jump and helped the USD women's track and field team to an 18th-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Eugene, Ore.

Glisar tied her season-best height and her USD outdoor record with a mark of 6 feet, 0 inches. The junior added three points to USD's team score and joins women's pole vaulters Bethany Buell and Emily Grove as USD's First-Team All-America honorees this season.

Arizona's Brigetta Barrett won the event with a height of 6-4¾. 

In the final team standings, the South Dakota women tied Michigan State for 18th with 15 points and finished 16 spots better than last year. The Coyotes were the fourth-best school outside a non-BCS conference, and beat major conference schools such as UCLA (20th), Oklahoma (T-21st), USC (T-21st), and Auburn (T-23rd).
