Neighbor reacts to large bust near Sioux Falls

Posted: Updated:

The Sioux Falls Area Drug Task Force brought in quite a haul Thursday.

"Seizure of approximately 119 grams of Molly, 9 firearms, approximately 54 grams of Hashish, a diesel pickup, a jet ski with a trailer, a snowmobile, 2.7 grams of mushrooms, 9.1 pounds of pot, a suburban, and $21,000," said Officer Jim Larson.

Bill Meeks lives just south of this white house on highway 11 in Lincoln County where the bust took place. It took him by surprise.

"I never saw big business like people coming in and getting their stuff and going," said Meeks.

In actuality, Blayne Solberg and Joel Robshaw had quite a big operation going. It included the lesser known drug called Molly.

"Molly is a drug similar to ecstasy. I've been told by drug task force this is a large amount for Sioux Falls and this area," said Officer Larson.

The two men are facing a total of ten charges. Meeks is just thankful his rural neighborhood is being watched.

"What I like about that is for two months they were investigating and we didn't know anything about it here," said Meeks. "So, they were doing covert operations and doing a good job of it."
