Alarming stats for some first-time moms

Posted: Updated:

New research shows alarming stats for the youngest and oldest of expecting moms.

The new study of almost 40,000 births among first-time mothers finds--- babies born to teenagers have a higher risk of pre-mature birth.

It also shows, babies born to women in their forties have the highest risk of caesarean sections and birth defects.

Furthermore, researchers say C-Section rates went up with age.

Today, one in three U-S babies is delivered by caesarean section.

That's up 53% over the last fifteen years.
