Police urge locked doors after car burglaries in Watertown

The Watertown Police Department is warning people to secure their valuables and lock their vehicles after a string of car burglaries this week.

The burglaries happened between the 1300- and 1600- blocks of 2nd Avenue in Watertown. They happened early morning Tuesday.

More than eight unlocked vehicles were entered and rummaged through during the early morning hours, according to a news release from the Watertown Police Department. Officers reported compact discs, an undisclosed amount of cash, a Compound Bow, and a car stereo were stolen from the vehicles.

The Watertown Police Department is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the burglaries.
