PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota National Guard Museum in Pierre will host an exhibit later this month to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean War.

The U.S. Defense Department's exhibit commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Korean War will be displayed at the museum on July 26 and July 27.

In the past three years, Bob Hill of Brookings has displayed the exhibit in Brookings, Mitchell, Pierre, Rapid City, Sioux Falls, Sisseton and Watertown. Hill is South Dakota's ambassador to the Defense Department's committee commemorating the Korean War, which lasted from 1950 to 1953.

The exhibit includes photos, clothing, gear and other items that explain the Korean War.

In addition to the exhibit, a wreath-laying ceremony will be held July 27 at the Korean War Memorial at Capitol Lake in Pierre.
