The past few days have been full of highs and lows for this Winner family. Last Friday, five of their family members were injured in a home explosion. On Tuesday, 7-month-old Angel Frank had her breaking tube removed.
"So, we heard her cry for Mom which was just the best sound in the world right now that I want to hear," said Jodelle Ferguson, a family member.
Baby Angel's mother, father, brother, and grandmother were also injured in the blast. While her family waits for progress in a Minneapolis burn unit, the people of Winner are cleaning up the explosion's remains.
"The Winner community is unbelievable to us. We've never had the kind of support, and they've come together in ways you wouldn't imagine," said Natasha Eagle Star, a family member.
Added Jodelle, "I just want to thank everyone for their kindness and support and ongoing prayers."
If you'd like to help the Ferguson family during their recovery you can make a monetary donation through Wells Fargo - request the Ferguson Family Fund. Non-monetary donations can be sent to the Family Dollar in Winner.
The family is being treated at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. It is a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Burn Center, one of only 64 verified Burn Centers in the country and one of the few that manages both adult and pediatric burns.
