Pavilion Spotlight: single tickets go on sale Saturday
Amazing puppetry and a storyline that will bring you to tears. The first show of the Washington Pavilion's 2013-2014 season is just a taste of the terrific series that's coming to Sioux Falls. .
"The variety is so amazing. I've lived in Miami, Atlanta, Chicago and the amount of shows and the high caliber shows you get in Sioux Falls in phenomenal," said Cara Lovrien, a Pavilion patron.
Fast forward to May and get ready for Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in Jersey Boys.
"This is selling gang busters. This is like we're like New York. We're like the big markets now so people are really excited," said Michele Wellman, the Pavilion's marketing and communications director.
This season is full of Tony award-winning shows, and already fans are snatching up the best seats.
"We've never had series sales as successful as they are, and I think it's making a huge difference to start and end with those great performances," said Wellman.
Six major shows will anchor the Pavilion's series. Five exclusive extra shows will be sprinkled in. Tickets starts at $18, an affordable price for some of the best entertainment in SIoux Falls.
"What I like to tell people is try it in Sioux Falls, because if you go to a larger city most likely you'll have to buy tickets on the secondary market, and they're going to be two-to-three times as expensive," said Lovrien. "So, really Sioux Falls is a great value and you can go eat outside at some of the restaurants and be local and have a local flair and really enjoy Sioux Falls and what we have to offer."
