One injured in Sioux Falls overnight house fire

One person received minor injuries in a house fire just after 1:00 a.m., Sunday morning

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a home in the 200 block of North Franklin Avenue to find flames coming from the first floor of the single-story house. Crews had the fire under control within about five minutes, however, the first floor sustained heavy damage. 

The Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the residents and firefighters.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with two support vehicles, four fire trucks, and nineteen firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue would like to remind residents to check their smoke detectors monthly.
