Antique car show pulls into Sioux Falls, touring eastern SD

Posted: Updated:

Sunday made for a great day to see some cars well over 100 years old.

The Sioux Falls Horseless Carriage Club sponsored a national car tour that stopped right in Sioux Falls. Out at the Sheraton Hotel, vintage cars from the early 1900's are on display.

"I restored my first Model T-4 when I was in high school and that was back in the early 60s so I've been at it for a long time, and enjoyed it. One of the nicest things that about these antique cars are people associated with it," Glyndon Knutson said.

The cars will depart from the Sioux Falls Sheraton Hotel early Monday morning, Sept. 2, driving to Watertown where the group will spend Monday overnight. Over the next several days, this week, they will travel to Brookings, Mitchell, Freeman, Yankton and Vermillion. They return to Sioux Falls on Friday.

The tour runs through Friday, September 6.
