Dakota Bowl XXXV Should be a Battle

Posted: Updated:

O'Gorman's 35th annual Bob Burns Dakota Bowl kicks off on Saturday night.  The Knights will host Washington this year.

Today, the annual Dakota Bowl media luncheon was held.  Both head coaches talked about the game, which is also a huge fundraiser for Sioux Falls Catholic schools, and there are many other events throughout the day.

As far as the game goes, both the Knights and Warriors come into it 1-1, and are coming off of losses last week.   They see this as a toss up.

"It's a good matchup, Washington high is coming off a state title and a very good football team.   We think we got a young team getting better every week.  Its a good matchup, two teams in the same situations." says O'Gorman head coach Steve Kueter.

"We are making strides, looking at our offense this week.   Last week our defense played outstanding last weekend, and for the most part till the end when we got a little tired and we need to take the effort off of them and we need to step it up off the offensive side of the ball." says Chad Stadem.

Dakota Bowl XXXV kicks off at eight on Saturday night at Howard Wood Field.
