Peterson asks for privacy after son's death

Posted: Updated:

Adrian Peterson asked for privacy when asked for comment about his son's condition.

"I ask for privacy at this time, and that there are no questions now about this matter."

Peterson was back in practice after spending Thursday in Sioux Falls, where he visited his son that had been physically abused by Sioux Falls resident Joseph Patterson.

Patterson had been babysitting the child for his girlfriend, the child's mother.

The child eventually died at the Sanford's Children's Hospital from his injuries.

Vikings' coach Leslie Frazier spoke out on behalf of Peterson.

"He had a tough day yesterday (Thursday). Just know that this team is supporting him, and that he has the support from this organization," Frazier said.
