Pavilion Spotlight: Spooky Science

Posted: Updated:

Would your little one like to touch a water eye ball? Or, play with green slime? This Friday and Saturday kids and kids-at-hear can check out 20 activities based on the theme Spooky Science Time Machine.

"So, we have activities that are based on different discoveries and inventions throughout time," said Gesine Ziebarth, a floor coordinator at the Kirby Science Center.

For instance, the 60s time period shows static electricity.

"The wand charges this little flier negatively. Then, once they're both negatively charged they will repel each other," said Ziebarth.

Costumes are welcomed at Spooky Science, but it's kids' brains the Pavilion is after.

"First and foremost that they'll have fun. Then, we also hope they'll learn something about the history of science."
