Scouting for food and sight in Sioux Falls

Posted: Updated:

The Boys Scouts of American need our help Saturday, to help others. They're scouting for food and sight. Earlier this week, Scouts left bags at homes across Sioux Falls. And, they want you to fill those bags with non-perishable food or used eyeglasses, sunglasses, and hearing aids.

"There are a lot of hungry individuals in Sioux Falls that need food that don't have it.  It goes to homeless shelters, emergency shelters, emergency food pantries, youth programs, anybody that needs a meal. Feeding South Dakota is able to provide it for them, and the Scouts are very glad to participate in this," said Boy Scouts District Executive Matthew Ohs.

Filled bags should be left by your outside door before 9 o'clock Saturday evening.
