Police have identified a Sioux City, Iowa, man whose body was found in a roadside ditch near Sioux Falls.

Sioux City police Lt. Mark Kirkpatrick says 20-year-old Adrian Rojas Hernandez, of Sioux City, was killed by a single gunshot to the head.

Lincoln County Sheriff Dennis Johnson says Hernandez's body was discovered about noon Sunday by a driver on a gravel road between Canton and Sioux Falls. Johnson says there had been an attempt to set the man's body on fire.

Sioux City police have Ricardo Jaime Vital, 22, in custody and are searching for Martin Castellanos, 20, in connection to the death. Castellanos is a Hispanic male, 5-foot-8-inches and 180 pounds. Police believe he may be driving a silver 2003 Audi A4 with Iowa plate 892 YSD.

Kirkpatrick says all three were acquaintances and were together earlier in the evening.

Police were working to pull an arrest warrant on the second suspect Monday afternoon.
