Mogen's Heroes 35th Anniversary

Posted: Updated:

Mogen's Heroes has been "having fun making music" for the past 35 years. They'll be celebrating their anniversary Friday, November 1st, by throwing a concert and dance in the Starlight Room of the Holiday Inn City Centre in Sioux Falls. The activities will begin at 7pm and should come to a close around 11pm.

The local band played their first gig on Halloween night in 1978 in Chancellor, SD. John Mogen, founder and keyboard player, is the only original member left in the group. Former drummers Scott Klaverkamp and Doug Lund may make appearances tonight. Former guitarist Tom Steever is not expected to be in attendance. Current guitarist Dennis Gale and current drummer Bill Hoffman will also be performing with Mogen.

A suggested donation of ten dollars is requested, but other offerings will be accepted. All money past the covering expenses will be donated to the Sioux Falls Salvation Army.
