Posted: Updated:

South Dakota was awarded grants to support new health center sites from the US Health and Human Services department.

The $1.3 million grant will establish two new health centers, allowing more residents access to health care services.

"We remain committed to providing more South Dakotans with the quality patient-centered care they deserve," HHS secretary Kathleen Sebelius said. "South Dakota health centers are key partners in the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, and new health center sites will increase access to those who need it most."
