SDSU Women's Soccer Upset in Summit Semifinals

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- No. 3 North Dakota State upset No. 2 South Dakota State by a 2-1 score in semifinal action at the Hefner Soccer Complex in Fort Wayne, Ind.

   Anisha Kinnarath got the Bison on the scoreboard first as she took a pass from Lauren Miller in the 33rd minute, giving North Dakota State a 1-0 halftime advantage.

   Kinnarath and Miller hooked up again in the 65th minute. This time it was Kinnarath returning the favor as Miller beat the Jackrabbit goalie, Nicole Inskeep, to the right side of the net.

   Just 41 seconds later, South Dakota State tallied its goal as Alyssa Brazil took a ball from Megan Kingston and put it in the left corner of the net.

Turning Point
North Dakota State's Anisha Kinnarath and Lauren Miller hooked up with each other twice propelling the Bison to a 2-0 lead.

Miller fed Kinnarath in the 33rd minute for the score followed by Miller connecting on a pass from Kinnarath in the 65th minute. Miller's goal proved to be the game-winner.
