VERMILLIONS, S.D. – South Dakota women's basketball coach Amy Williams has announced the signing of Kate Liveringhouse of Bellevue West High School (Neb.) to a National Letter of Intent. She will be eligible to play starting in the 2014-15 season.
"We are pleased to welcome Kate into our Coyote family," said Coach Williams. "She's a competitive player from a winning program and has a high basketball IQ. She'll bring depth to our post position."
Liveringhouse, a 6-foot-1 center, averaged 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game as a junior last season while leading the Thunderbirds to a second-place finish at the Nebraska Class A State Tournament. She was First-Team Class A All-State, was a Lincoln Journal Star's First-Team Super State selection and was the Metro Coaches' Association Co-Player of the Year last season.
Liveringhouse is the first recruit to commit to the South Dakota women's basketball team for 2014-15.
