Augie Jumps Three Spots in National Poll

LIBURN, Ga. - Augustana women's basketball moved up three spots in the USA Today Sports Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll and is now ranked 11th in the country.  The Vikings received 327 points in the poll and one first-place vote.

  Augustana opened the season ranked 14th in the country and is one of three Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference schools featured in this week's poll. Concordia-St. Paul dropped five spots to 14th.  Minnesota State dropped one place to 24th.  Wayne State appeared in the others receiving votes section.

  Bentley University (Mass.) received 25 first-place votes and held down the top spot, followed by Gannon, Clayton State, Emporia State, and Nova Southeastern rounding out the top five.

  Augustana is currently 1-0 on the season and returns to action on Tuesday, Nov. 19, taking on William Penn at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Vikings will then play Presentation College on Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Elmen Center before opening up NSIC play on Nov. 25 hosting Wayne State.
