Sioux Falls police release surveillance photos of robbery, shooting suspects

Sioux Falls police are searching for two men accused of robbing a gas station clerk at gunpoint early Friday morning. Officers say these men are armed and dangerous.

Around 1:03 a.m. officers responded to the Cubby's Gas Station, 2101 W. 49th St., for report of an armed robbery.

Police said that two men entered the store armed with handguns and robbed the clerk of an undisclosed amount of money.

As one of the suspects left the store, he turned and fired one shot at the clerk. The bullet missed and the clerk was not injured in the robbery. Police said the clerk offered no resistance during the incident.

The suspect who shot at the clerk was a black male, 5-foot-8-inches to 5-foot-10-inches, slender, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a red bandana over his face, black and white shoes and blue and tan gloves.

The second suspect was described as a black male, 5-foot-8-inches to 5-foot-10-inches, stocky build, wearing a red with black shoulders Columbia-style coat without a hood, a red bandana on top of his head and covering his face and black shoes.

Both suspects were last seen on foot, heading west.
