Three men recognized for their quick thinking by Sioux Falls Fire Rescue

Posted: Updated:

These local men were recognized as true heroes tonight. On October 18th, Paul King, Dave Mesz and Bill Palmer were riding home to Garretson with their friend, Dawn Conrad, when she became unresponsive. The three swung into action, performing CPR and calling 911. Their efforts saved Dawn's life. Tonight, all were honored by Sioux Falls Fire Rescue.

Conrad told KSFY News, "They worked together as a team. They did what needed to be done quickly, promptly, efficiently...and it was just amazing and I will forever be grateful for what they did."

Phil, Dave and Bill were honored for keeping their heads and not panicking...and for knowing the CPR that saved Dawn's life.
