Some dreams do come true.
"I just can't even begin to say how awesome it was and I just wish that it would've slowed down the time that I had there that I could go back. I would go back in a heartbeat." Said Brianna Vig.
Brookings Bobcats cheerleaders Brianna Vig and Jenna Thornton just had their dream fulfilled.
"It was awesome to finally be able to show people that don't really believe that cheerleading is a sport." Brianna said.
The girls are part of a group who were given the chance to cheer for the National Cheerleader Association in the Christmas Day Parade at Walt Disney World.
"The spotlight was on you we had fireworks go off in the background by the castle and it was just fun." Said Jenna.
The girls tried out at their summer camp.
When they got to Florida they had to try out for a second time.
They were two out of nearly 600 girls there.
"It was really fun to meet a whole bunch of new girls from all over the place." Jenna said.
Jenna says she was excited to be there, but had to keep reminding herself of one thing.
"I was nervous. I remember just thinking to keep smiling because there were always going to be cameras on me. And I did not want to forget to not smile."
Brianna said she looked up to cheerleaders when she was younger and can't believe where she is now.
"Here I am a junior and now I can say I've gotten the chance to cheer for a National Cheerleader Association trip."
If they could give little girls any advice, it would be to keep trying. No matter what people say.
"Never give up never miss out on opportunities and keep working hard and it'll pay off." Jenna said.
