Posted: Updated:

A Sioux Falls man is mourning the loss of his wife tonight after she died early this morning in a suspected drunk driving crash.

That crash happened at the intersection of 10th Street and Sycamore Avenue in east Sioux Falls.

And tonight that intersection was the scene of a candlelight vigil for the woman; her family identifies her as Tonya Sanchez.
Her husband Nigel was driving the minivan that was struck by the suspected drunk driver and he told us about his wife tonight. "She was a good person. She's got a good heart and she is a wonderful wife. A wonderful mom. If people need something..if she had it....she was always there for them."

The suspected drunk driver is 20 year old Oscar Madrigal: Tonight he is facing vehicular homicide and drunk driving charges.
