At the start of the school year, every Sioux Falls Public High School student had a Chromebook in his or her hands.
Tuesday night, some of those students' parents met to find out more about those Chromebooks.
Meant to be a tool that can be incorporated into any daily lesson, the Chromebooks save documents automatically while allowing students to collaborate with others.
"If they leave that classroom and go to another classroom in the past they may have to leave that laptop in that particular classroom. Now the device goes with them," said Bob Jensen from the Sioux Falls School District.
The Chromebooks are the responsibility of the students. An insurance plan can be purchased for $40 a year.
