And if their campaign goes as planned, they will be South Dakota's next gubernatorial team.
Mike Myers -- an independent candidate running for governor -- announced Caitlin Collier as his running mate today.
They're planning to use their differences to connect with a full spectrum of people in South Dakota.
"If we're talking about an issue which traditionally puts conservatives and liberals at odds, we have a chance to talk through positions of both sides and look for the common ground," Collier said.
She and Myers are now working to get the 5,000 signatures needed to get on the ballot.
