Posted: Updated:

ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota Film Festival is accepting submissions for the eighth installment of the annual event held in Aberdeen.

The festival planned for Sept. 25-28 screens films in three categories: narrative, documentary and animation. The categories include both short and feature-length films.

The South Dakota Film Festival has hosted Hollywood actors such as Kevin Costner and Graham Greene, and behind-the-scenes talent such as cinematographer Adam Greenberg, film producer Sean Covel, director Chris Eyre and casting director Rene Haynes.

The festival is an IMDb Qualifying Festival, granting all eligible film submissions a fast-tracked title page on IMDb.com.

Submissions are being accepted until June 30.
