I-29 back open after winter storm

Posted: Updated:

South Dakota Department of Transportation officials announced Interstate 29 is now completely open.  I-29 is also open in North Dakota.

Cleanup work along the Interstate is ongoing and motorists should use caution around snowplows and emergency vehicles.

Officials remind motorists that winter driving conditions still exist, including some snow packed and slippery areas and possible blowing and drifting snow.

There is still a no travel advisory in the Milbank area east of I-29.

Travelers are strongly encouraged to visit www.safetravelusa.com/sd or call 511 to check the latest road conditions and travel advisories.
