UPDATE: Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce kicks off its annual legislative coffees this weekend

Posted: Updated:

The 2014 legislative session continues this week in Pierre.

And we heard about some of the bills being talked about in committee this week.

But there may be some things you'd like to talk to legislators about.

If you live in Sioux Falls you don't have to go to Pierre to meet with the legislators.

Coming up this weekend, you can meet a few state representatives and senators face to face.

This weekend, the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce will host its annual legislative coffees.

It's free and it's open to the public.

Area legislators will talk about the issues important to them.

You'll have the chance to speak directly with our state lawmakers, and the topics for discussion are decided by you.

Anyone who attends can submit questions.

A moderator will from the League of Women voters will then select direct your questions to legislators.

It's a unique opportunity to meet our state leaders and let them know what you think. The Sioux Falls chamber of commerce kicks off the first of four legislative coffees this Saturday, February 1st.

Saturday, Feb. 1: Districts 6, 9, 12 and 14; Hilton Garden Inn Downtown, 10-11:30 a.m.

Saturday, Feb. 8: Districts 10, 11, 12 and 15; Hilton Garden Inn Downtown, 10-11:30 a.m.

Saturday, Feb. 22: Districts 6, 9, 13 and 14; Hilton Garden Inn Downtown, 10-11:30 a.m.

Friday, Feb. 28: Districts 11, 12 and 15; Holiday Inn City Centre, 10-11:30 a.m.
