Local animal lovers embrace Budweiser super bowl ad

Posted: Updated:

Whether you're a Seahawks fan, a Broncos fan, or neither, this year's Super bowl ads proved to be more of a talker than last night's game.

That puppy and Clydesdale 'Best Buddies' commercial has been dubbed as one of the best this year. For the second consecutive year, and the 12th time in the past 14 years, Anheuser-Busch has earned the honor of another favorite.

And it's surely tugging at the heart strings of animal lovers alike, especially out at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society.

Employees there have embraced the ad hoping it's putting that idea of adoption into peoples minds.

Adopting dogs, cats or any animal, can really have a tremendous effect on humans' lives, they say. Not to mention, the Budweiser ad showcased the love that exists from both animal to animal and people to animal.

"Showing the importance of adoption is so important. With Budweiser, they have more in their advertising budget than we do so for them to take on that message and getting it out there, it's important," Malorie Adamson said.

Right now, the Humane Society has roughly 200 animals in-house, mostly cats but dogs and others. Their goal is to find every single one of them a loving home.
