The South Dakota Cattlemen's Foundation is taking on hunger and teaming with Feeding South Dakota. Thursday, the organizations revealed details about the first Prime Time Gala - an upscale dinner and concert to be held June 14th at the Sioux Falls Convention Center and Arena.
"Humbled by their generosity and their willingness to help us provide beef and put beef on the table of so many struggling South Dakota families," said Feeding South Dakota Executive Director Matt Gassen.
"This will be the biggest event for South Dakota beef production, and we're going to make it an annual event. And, yes Mayor (Mike Huether) we are going to bring it to the new events center next year and make it even bigger and better," said Todd Wilkinson, a cattle feeder from DeSmet.
Country star Gary Allan will headline the evening. The Prime Time Gala hopes to raise $100,000 for Feeding South Dakota.
