It seems like just days ago, the Sioux Falls Skyforce were opening up their NBA D-League season at the newly built Pentagon, but here we are in the middle of February, just before the all-star break, and the Skyforce are sitting very comfortably at 3rd place in the Central Divison with a 19-11 record.
"We're doing good we are moving the ball real well, we have new guys in the rotations so we are doing really good." said Justin Hamilton.
"We got a good offense and some good players who can score the ball so we just have to buckle down on defense." said DeAndre Liggins.
This weekend will be very special for two particular Skyforce members, as Deandre Liggins and Justin Hamilton will both take part in the NBA Development League All-Star game on Saturday.
"It's good, probably the first one I have been selected to so it's a good feeling just my hard work is playing off just have to keeping working." said Hamilton.
Liggins enters the break averaging 15 points a game along with just under 8 rebounds and 5 assists per game, while Hamilton has been a double double machine, averaging nearly 20 points with just under 10 rebounds per game.
"Just being aggressive and taking what the defense gets me. Sometimes the ball bounces your way and sometimes it doesn't but if you just keep going the likelihood of it happening is greater." said Hamilton.
And while the All-Star game is a great accomplishment for both players, one more important goal remains certain.
"Just be consistent, I think we have ups and downs we just need to put together four good quarters and we'll be great. We're just doing what we need to do to win right now but we are always progressing." said Hamilton.
